Sound Cancelling Headphones....oh, what irony......
I have a pair of sound cancelling headphones made by Shure. They work very well, and I really like them. When I use them, I can hear nothing but my toons, and no one can hear my toons. This is how it's supposed to work, in theory. We have a guy on our gig who has a pair of Bose. These are pretty expensive "on the ear" headphones. He swears by them. He says he can't hear anything with them on. and it's no wonder. I find it wonderfully ironic that his noise cancelling headphones are so loud that everyone ......

Ok, I've been tagged
Ok, I was tagged by my buddy Chris, so where we go: Some things I don't think I could live without My fiance. We are getting married in November. Corny, but true. I am required to say this by law in some states, so cut me some slack. My Epiphone Les Paul Studio. It isn't a Gibson, no, but it rocks. It has more tone than any instrument I've played in my life. I always thought I wanted a Fender Strat (and I have one), but once I played my Les Paul....that changed forever. No chance I'll be giving that ......

The Background Compiler: A simple explanation

I was looking for some info on the background compiler, and found an old article on MSDN that gives a good, basic explanation. Thought I'd throw a quick link up to it, as much so I can find it when I want it as anything. :-)

btw, I love the title of that page......

TypedDataSets: so many moving parts
Spent several hours today trying to extend an existing typeddataset in VS 2005. I like typeddatasets for the most part, but they can be annoying with which to work. The one in question has about 50 tables in it. To be honest, I've not used them a ton. However, 50 tables seems a bit....unwieldy to me. Does this seem like a lot? Some random things I've thought about them: 1) they seem awfully fragile. They break faster than the iPhone. 2) trying to get the error out of one once you fill your DataAdapter ......

XBox 360: Apparently high rate of failure

Saw this article today. I had no idea that 360s have such a rate of failure. I remember reading that first gens had some trouble, but I guess the problems continue. I was also amazed at the numbers the entertainment division has in losses. Some serious coin, wow. Good thing MS as whole has so much cash.

4th of July and what I thought about
I published this off the main feed because I didn't think it belonged there. If you are reading this, chances are you're reading because you know me already, and don't need me to explain myself an further. I was involved in an e-mail conversation with someone I know, and we were discussing the current political state in this country. Here was big reply to discuss what the 4th meant to me: I went to see fireworks yesterday. I was very close to them, closer than I’ve been in my entire life. The sky ......
