Some people are saying that google sms doesn't work with their phone. It has always worked with my phone, but I have been having bunches of problems with Sprint lately. Network password failures and what not. Plus the fact I do not have reception in my apartment (I live 5 miles from their headquarters). I may just go back to trusty AT&T/Cingular. The new Audiovox phone is tight. Scoble can't stop raving about it!

Well, google SMS does not work with my tmobile phone as well. I get an "Access Denied" problem. Anyways, I use Koffee-Break's SMS services. They have tied up with Amazon.com and tmobile to provide text messaging services world.

Here is a problem I had with Sprint. I had a hip replacement. Before the surgery I had emailed and wrote Sprint that I was cancelling my account. They were too high for an emergency phone only. They ignored both notices. When I tried to call and cancel I was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to reach the correct party. They kept charging me, and to keep from hurting my credit, I had to pay them.

My son had his phone stolen and lockline sent us a replacement. It was a refurbished one which would not charge. Then they sent us another one, a model that was alot older than his original one and that one wouldn't activate. Then they sent us another one, again a refurbished one and that one won't activate either. He has been without service for 2 weeks now and has a pile of sprint refurbished phones that don't work. I have been on the phone with them several times now and can't believe this whole mess and they don't seem to care. He's in Chicago and I'm telling him to go to the nearest sprint store and demand a new phone. This is ridiculous. I would not recomment Sprint to my worst enemy. I hope they go broke!!!

I have had THREE sprint phones that have broken in the EXACT same way EACH time. The hinge cracks and then the flip phone falls apart. I am stuck in florida in grad school without a phone (or car) trying to get an email response from sprint beyond an automated response or the note that they can give me back my rebate of 75 dollars. i
I am canceling my contract and not looking back. Sprint is worthless as far as customer service goes (dont' forget about the quality of their products). Did I mention I drop calls if I walk into my kitchen?

That is the last time I use "problem with <company name>" in any blog post. I can't fix your broken sprint phone and we all know sprint customer service sucks. Hope you feel better venting to a software development blog that has no connection to sprint.

I have used Google sms for information for a while now. Just the last few days, when I text google, the address will come, but no phone number. If I Say "phone number, it will give me the phone numbers of locations WAY far away from the zip code that I am using. Whats the deal?

One of the problems with the Google SMS system, is that it doesn't work outside of the US. I've posted some code on my blog to show how to bypass this see: http://networkprogramming.wordpress.com/2009/04/21/sending-sms-via-soap-from-cocoa-mac/
