I'm sure that there are quite a few geekswithblogs members that know about AutoPatcher. AutoPatcher is an awesome little program that contains all of the Windows Updates and several other installations all in one download that can be distributed on other computers. This is fantastic if you're fixing a computer that is connected to the Internet with a dial-up modem. Well, last month Microsoft unfortunately gave them a cease and desist. A Password Service
So I was thinking a couple of days ago about password security on web sites. When you sign up for an account you have to give them your username, your password, email address, Residential address sometimes, and all sorts of other information. What happens when the web site that you entered in all of that information gets hacked into and they steal your username, your password, and your email address. Visions Of Afar
So way, way back when my friend Alex Davis and I were day dreaming about creating video games and web sites, we came up with the name Visions Of Afar. This was around 7th grade for us and we never managed to get a full web page or game going. Well, about 8 years later, I've finally gotten the web page up. Windows Server 2003
So I finally received the server I ordered for work. It came in, I got it all set up and ready to join it to the domain. So I ran the active directory wizard. It told me that the server I was trying to connect to wasn't prepared for a 2003 server and I needed to run the adprep.exe tool. So, obviously I remembered doing this before and I new it was in the I386 folder on the OS disc. So I went to the old server, ran the tool with adprep.exe /forestprep and then I ran adprep.exe /domainprep. Everything ......
