Highlights of the final NDepend 5.0 release include:
  • Support for Visual Studio 2013 RC while preserving compatibility with previous versions of the IDE, namely Visual Studio 2012, 2010 and 2008.
  • New Dashboard Panel: NDepend now proposes a new Dashboard that shows at a glance the state of your code base and will soon become your entry point to many features.
  • Trend Monitoring: More than 50 essential Trend Metric are now monitored and their evolutions can be displayed through Trend Charts.
  • Focusing on Recent Rules Violations is a new option to filter only rules violations that occur on code elements added or refactored since a baseline.
  • Churning Code Rules and Code Queries according to common criterions. For example listing all rules violated is now a one click operation.
  • Report Enhancements: The report has been redesigned and present more relevant info in a more concise way. Also the report now includes trend metrics charts.
  • UI Enhancements: NDepend v5.0 comes with menu organization completely rethought and modernized. Also literally dozens of ergonomic points have been reshaped.
