Help me out Celebration Generation!

Sunday, February 26, 2006 5:04 AM

Ok, so for any of you who lived in Canada for any length of time in the mid-to-late 90's, you know the name Chris Sheppard. He's a dj/musician/producer of dance and electronica.

I've been scouring ITunes and Google trying to find the title to a song he did back in the 90's...but it wasn't under his name...he had a group (but not Love Inc., they came later). The chorus lyrics go something like:

“Just open your eyes...see things you've never seen (or remember)...just open your eyes...forever and ever”.

Yeah, sounds a little fruity, but put some good techno beats behind it and its great coding music.

Anyway, if any of this rings a bell let me know.

Now if only ITunes would hook me up with Fastlove by George Michael...

Hope I'm not too late, stumbled on this post when looing for something else.

The song you're talking about isn't Chris Sheppard, it's Ivan (of Men Without Hats fame).. and it's called "Open Your Eyes". Around the same time, he put out another called "Superbadgirls".

Good luck finding either - I've been looking since my Ivan cassette crapped out several years ago! 8/29/2007 4:14 AM | Marie

Both songs are available on CD, look for Ivan "The Spell" This was the only CD Ivan released by himself, all the others are under "Men Without Hats".
