Biggest Loser

Alright, so I'm less than a year away from hitting the big 3-0, and I'm going through somewhat of a midlife crisis. At the top of my list is my health, which is great and outstanding if being overweight and unhealthy was great and outstanding...but its not...so instead I'm just horribly overweight and unhealthy...like, winded after two flights of stairs unhealthy.

So last night I started on my road to slimness: I spent a half hour on the treadmill. It's hilarious how you change your eating habits after you start working out. Normally, I'd have gotten a sub from Subway, a meal from McDonald's, pizza, whatever. Now, I'm totally aware of how many carbs I'm ingesting, eating salads for lunch, and drinking water instead of coffee and pop.

So this marks the start of me getting rid of half a person. I'm 283 lbs right now...my goal is to be at 260 lbs by DevTeach in May and 240 lbs by August. Very doable I think. I'd post a picture for reference, but I don't think anyone wants to see that. ;)

You can't be the biggest loser... I want to be the biggest loser. Seriously though man... I applaud you for not only getting off your butt to do something about your health, but also motivating me to do the same (again.) I was doing pretty good for a while, but I've been slacking and feeling the effects... which oddly just makes you want to slack more.

Yo mang, if I can do it so can you. Just remember the scale is your enemy and its ok to live it up once in awhile and treat yourself.
