We recently had a fistful of candidates swing through the interview process. None of them were hired. All were plenty smart, so why didn't they get hired?

One guy worked for a client of ours. We never should have interviewed this guy, but we didn't realize it was an issue until it was too late. Unfortunately we couldn't hire him. It's a shame because I gave him a thumbs up.

The next guy was also plenty smart, but communication skills were an issue. We had to pass on this one too.

The third guy was brilliant (just ask him) but almost everyone hated him (and a few threatened to quit if he was hired) so we passed on him too.
update: This might be slightly inaccurate... rumor has it he opted out and is waiting to hear from a company more suited to his interests. (More talking, less coding.)

I know there are plenty of talented, qualified, likeable people out there. If you're in (or near) Atlanta, GA (or willing to commute) and don't mind a little travel now and then, and want to work for a seriously kickass consulting company... drop me a line... we're hiring!
