Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.
Spent a little time this weekend working on HA! 0.1.7

It was mostly minor stuff, like Davis' request for a random race & class selection option. I also toned down the trap frequency a bit (it was already low IMO, but some people died too often) and reduced the duration of the confusion trap.

While I was at Tech*Ed, I managed to work on some of the code for the character information display (just press @ of course) which I need to reintegrate back into my source tree. (I did that on my laptop at Tech*Ed, and then did the enhancement stuff mentioned above on my primary dev machine this weekend.) It won't be a big deal, just need to be careful. Hmm that reminds me, I also need to integrate the changes I made for the Attribute increases at (m_hero.currentlevel mod 4)

Lastly, the main source file was getting WAY too crowded (and hard to debug) so I broke a lot of the code off into seperate physical files, logically grouped of course. (I already had a few of these, but as the main source file grows... I need to keep pruning)

August 31st is coming. Are you ready? Am I? Stay tuned... Posted on Sunday, June 12, 2005 8:14 PM Game Development | Back to top

sweet! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It needs balance, but that will come. New article coming in a week or so I would imagine.
