Swag... you say... Yes lots and lots of it, Trust - Me on this, ....Tee Shirts,pens, etc, I could have brought a empty suitcase just for the Swag ;), Need to dump some at the hotel before my trip back last year ... Not enough room ... You`ve been warned ;)... Have fun!!! its a great time

It is swag city! We always get a conference bookbag, or laptop case, or knapsack of some sort. Then there is all the stuff from the exhibition hall and the parties. I learned the hard way during my first Tech Ed in 2000 when I had to run out to the closest Walmart to buy an extra suitcase to bring home all my swag. Now I go down with a suitcase within a suitcase. I still end up leaving stuff behind.

Yes, I did E-mail the MSRC group about a Security Bulletin Focus group and they did contact me, had me fill out survey and then invited me to a group and gave me the details.

I was contacted early this week and told they would send me an email today or tomorrow as they did not know what the room would be . . . nothing so far ...

The PIMS team at Microsoft develops comprehensive, lab-tested, prescriptive guidance (process and technology) based on real-world best practices to help our customers manage issues related to migration and interoperability. We’re looking for participants who serve or operate in Small and Medium business (SMB) segments—Microsoft defines SMB segments with organizations with 1-500 PCs or under 1000 employees. The Small & Medium Business solution team in CIS (Core Infrastructure solutions) is developing SMB Assessment and Deployment Solution tailored to core Medium business (50-249 PCs) needs to dramatically reduce the cost and risk associated with assessment, migration and deployment of infrastructure projects in Medium business.

The solution will offer proven tools and prescriptive guidance for each phase of the customer’s lifecycle (Evaluate, Plan, Build, Deploy and Operate) to provide predictable experience for a secure and manageable infrastructure and enable key scenarios such as Networking & Directory services, File/Print, Messaging and Server & Desktop management. The assessment phase includes an inventory tool that discovers all of the servers, clients and network devices in the IT environment. Secondly, the proposal tool creates a Visio diagram of current IT assets and generates a detailed proposal for migration and deployment to new platform based on Windows Server System. Finally, we have automated parts of multi-server deployment and configurations of the Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003 and MOM-Work group edition 2005 using task sequencing technology.
