Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.

For those of you who couldn't make it to last night's meeting, you really missed a good one. Attendance was around 32 people and the pizza and wings from Papa John's (courtesy of Microsoft) were delicious. Thank you Blackbaud for giving us a place to meet.

Doug Turnure (MS) gave a terrific presentation on what's coming with Indigo / SOA.  Doug was also nice enough to allow us to pick his brain about other Microsoft technologies coming down the pipe. It was quite informative.

We officially kicked off the 2005 Open Source Mobile Game Programming Expo, with 4 teams so far. It's not too late to join in either! Feel free to email me for rules and with any questions.

We also gave away a ton of freebie stuff, including lots of tshirts, hats, and books from MS Press, O'Reilly, APress and Charles River Media. Ashwin Ramachandran was last night's big winner, picking up a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 Pro w/ MS OneNote.

Next month's featured speaker is Ken Spencer of MSDN Magazine. Ken is being sent to us courtesy of INETA and we look forward to hosting him. We'll also have pizza (INETA again) and we'll be giving away lots of goodies, including a fully licensed copy of NetVantage 2004 Volume 3 w/ subscription! ( for more info)
