SharePoint, MOSS? and all the other questions
The picture above is of the Mazda Sassaou Concept, a car targetted to us the Internet Generation. "We conceive the Sassou as having its own hard disk drive, security code recognition and Mazda software for owners, including a navigation program that could be downloaded onto the vehicle's USB stick key," said Mickael Loyer, a Mazda interior designer in Frankfurt. "The owner could download the music he wants to listen to that day [or] directions to his favorite pub or beach hangout [by] using the USB ......
Just imagine if that Citroen was a hybrid, the electric power supply would entirely dedicated to powering all those neons.
And I am absolutelly certain that the car is powered by sound waves disseminating from those speakers.
Nice rims though
I really don’t see what the point of Google Talk is. Unlike GMail it is just another IM client to the already cluttered domain of IM clients. Nothing really innovative there, or at least not yet. But for those of you who are like me and are side stepping all of these IM clients by using something like Trillian (or Gaim for that matter) ForeverGeek has a post showing the Jabber settings used by Google, so if you are on Trillian you can get the Jabber plug-in from here. Update: Google themselves ......

Tim points out a utility for SharePoint from WinApp Echo. I faintly remember that someone mentioned that this was demoed at TechEd in the MS Partner section (I could be mistaken). I would agree with Tim that some of the features provided by the tool might be accomplished by directly manipulating the SharePoint Database (which is unsupported). But at the end of the day if you are managing a large Portal Setup what the product offers is ‘must-have’ features (i.e. in contrast to ‘would ......

Autoblog a daily blog on the auto industry has an article speaking about Hologram Technology by Zebra Imaging being used in the auto industry to replace the practice of building clay models to visualize designs. "Zebra Imagings new technology takes only hours to produce and costs a hell of a lot less than an old fashioned clay model. The holographic images are printed on tiles that can be viewed either on a wall or flat on a table, and they can easily be made as large as a full size automobile" ......

That is the official image of Sportback Concept from Mitsubishi. Speculation is that the next Evo, the Evo X might take design cues from this concept. If it does, I am sure it will be a much much better seller than the new face-lifted WRX ......
Lately I have been considering buying myself a new mouse. Till now I had my eye on the Logitech MX 518 . However after reading a comparison at Gamespy I am having second thoughts because of its size. But recently Logitech has announced 2 new mice and 1 new keyboard targeted at gamers to be available by September. Still no change. Those mice are big too. ......
It’s about time this happened. According to Reuters Intel are redesigning their chips. As quoted in the article considerations going into the design are "multi-core technology" and "energy efficiency". As it is, the number 2 reason for the sale of Intel chips here in the eastern world is the fact that they generate less heat (AMD being their competition). If Intel's brings in an even more energy efficient line of chips, the cost efficiency of those AMD chips might not be enough to keep selling them. ......
Off of Neowin. Microsoft will be changing the IE Logo and branding for IE 7. My verdict : I like the old one (IE6) better with its hard cut edges, sky blue color, and cut-out on the left side of the "e". This new logo just doesnt reflect a "step forward" in IE ......
I was getting p*ssed with the bugs (i.e. its intermittent crashes etc.) in the current beta version of Sauce Reader (i.e. v.2.0.1) so I thought I might as well check if there had been an update on the site. What surprised me was the greeting message on their site. "Synop has closed for business. We're very proud of all we've accomplished both internally and by working closely with our customers and users. We appreciate all your interest and support. The Sauce Reader product and source code are for ......

I was playing around with those SharePoint Templates MS released recently, especially the change management one. If you have had a swing at this one you'd probably have noticed the Infopath forms submit to http://wsstemplates.quilogy... Orders/ so the question that remains are who are Quilogy, what do they do, and do they do SharePoint? Infact this "error" with the forms submitting to their site perhaps would end up servnig them ultimately; coz if they do SharePoint this ......
Eli already blogged about the release of the new SharePoint Templates. Quite frankly that post is a killer, very complete. but here is an article up at Microsoft Watch, where Mary Jo Foley talks about Microsoft's 'quiet' release of the templates, and forecasts much more to come in or ahead of Office 12 ......
