Here are a few recommendations how to start preparing for your Exchange 2010 Deployment.

Exchange Pre-Deployment Analyzer

The Exchange Pre-Deployment Analyzer performs an overall topology scan of your current Exchange environment before you deploy Exchange 2010.  It is highly recommended that you run the Analyzer to look for Permission inheritance blocks, Link State Suppression, and other issues before you deploy Exchange 2010 in your environment.  Click here to download the Exchange Pre-Deployment Analyzer and learn more about the Analyzer.

Exchange Server 2010 Deployment Assistant

Last week, the Microsoft Exchange Team posted an update on the The Microsoft Exchange Team Blog regarding the Exchange Server 2010 Deployment Assistant tool.  This is a great tool as it asks you a set of questions based on your environment and the tool creates a checklist with instructions how to get you started with your Exchange 2010 deployment.  Click here to access the Exchange Server 2010 Deployment Assistant tool.

Exchange 2010 Templates

Microsoft has provided generic build guide templates for the Exchange 2010 Client Access Server, Hub Transport, and Mailbox roles.  You can use these templates to create your own build guides for each of the server roles.  Click here to access the Microsoft templates.
